The straight run stairway lacked appeal and style. The carpeting was horrible with stains all over. The padding underneath was disintegrated and stinky!
We stained new oak treads, dark, and also the rails to match. New wood balusters painted bright white to match the newels completes the updated look!
This stairway was the standard built stairway of most bi-level homes of the 60s into the 70s. The ugly carpeting was dirty and so hard to keep clean. The rake wall made it seem much tighter to navigate as well.
We opened up the stairway by removing the wall, and installing new oak treads. Updated square newels were added, as well as metal balusters complete the new look.
Modern woodworking brought this Arby's into the 21st century with rich wood tones, creative framing, and signage.
Listen to that cracking!
